Kura Ara(k)s River Basin

Stakeholder Involvement

Component 3 Stakeholder Involvement

To make the project efforts lasting, wide reaching and sustainable, the project plans to focus on key stakeholder capacity-building and public awareness raising activities. These will include trainings on priority IWRM issues across the basin region. These trainings will be developed by national, regional and international experts, and shared with the wider community through our project web page as video training modules. Public awareness raising activities will help people throughout the basin understand sustainable water resource use, why it is important to them and how they can help preserve the beautiful environment we all enjoy.

Stakeholder Activities will include the revitalization of the NGO Forum, use of Social Media and internet resources, stakeholder education about IWRM and stakeholder capacity building. Public awareness will be featured to help inform people about the project, project activities and the ongoing developments.

Project stakeholder activities will feature educational activities for universities and beyond to help future generations continue to value to water resources of the Kura Ara(k)s River Basin.

All of the information on this web page will be kept active throughout the life of the project, and after the project is completed in 2014, the web site materials will be archived and remain available for all national, regional and international project stakeholders.
